TALK: “The hazards of the journey”.
1 August @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Organiser: Friends of Wickhampton Church £7.50

We are delighted that Medieval Historian, Imogen Corrigan, joins us again, this time to talk about pilgrimage and travel in the Middle Ages.
What possessed people to trudge hundreds of miles, often in appalling conditions, and sometimes even perishing on the way? Who was travelling and why? How safe was it to travel?
From maps and motivation to souvenirs and shrines, Imogen will discuss travel in the round as well as for spiritual reasons.
Tickets £7.50 (cash please) to include light refreshments.
