Sophie Shaw with DownTime Quartet

For ten years DownTime Jazz has brought enjoyable live jazz to Norfolk, Suffolk and beyond. Sophie Shaw warmly engages audiences from across the generations. Sophie has a distinctive voice, beautifully blending soulful jazz with bluesy undertones. Her wide experience comes from many years as a Ronnie Scott’s club regular. Sophie Shaw’s repertoire spans modern jazz, soul of the 70s, songwriter gems, and jive classics from older times.

DownTime’s trio is led by Tamas Farkas on guitar and Maurizio Borgna on double bass. Tomi trained at Budapest’s Bartók Jazz Conservatory and is adept in swing, bebop, latin and funk. Mo went to London Goldsmith’s in the 90s and has taught in Genoa, Italy.
