SUMMARY:Sisters 360
DESCRIPTION:Hopes\, hurdles and halfpipes. \nFatima and Salima are the closest\, coolest\, hijab-wearing step-sisters in all of Bradford – and nothing is going to stop them from winning the Tiny is Mighty skateboarding competition. With their eyes on the prize and their boards under their feet\, they are unstoppable. That is\, until they overhear whispers in the kitchen… their parents might be splitting up. Suddenly\, everything is at risk – their friendship\, their family\, and their dream. Only the greatest super-plan ever concocted can keep them together and on track for victory. \nSisters 360 is a funny\, heartfelt and high-energy new play written by Asif Khan\, inspired by the real-life “Hijabi Sisters” from Hull – three skateboard-loving siblings who have challenged stereotypes and inspired countless others\, following in the footsteps of their hero\, Olympic medallist Sky Brown. With skateboarding tricks\, sibling banter and a whole lot of heart\, this uplifting story explores the power of family\, friendship and resilience in the face of change. \nAt its core\, Sisters 360 is about courage\, creativity and the determination to hold on to what matters most. It’s a story about finding strength in teamwork\, navigating life’s challenges\, and daring to dream big even when the ground beneath you feels unsteady. The play also gently opens up conversations about family life\, separation and how children discover their own voice when faced with change. \nPerfect for ages 8–12 (and anyone who remembers being that age)\, Sisters 360 is boisterous\, joyful and inspiring – a celebration of skateboards\, sisterhood and standing proud.

SUMMARY:Mitch Benn: The Lehrer Effect
DESCRIPTION:When\, years ago\, a teenage Mitch discovered American comic songwriting legend Tom Lehrer\, the course of his life was changed forever. \nMitch looks at the legacy of the elusive Lehrer; the creative debt that he and all those who mix humour and melody owe to him; and performs some of the more Lehreresque of his own songs. Since Mr Lehrer placed his entire catalogue in the public domain\, you can expect a few Mitch Benn-ified covers of some of Tom’s most famous creations as well. \nTom Lehrer died in July 2025 at the age of 97 and immediately before the premiere of the show in Edinburgh\, which means that this show is now a heart-felt eulogy\, rather than living tribute to the artist.

SUMMARY:3 Migrant Women
DESCRIPTION:Three women. Three journeys. One shared search for home. \n3 Migrant Women is a striking and intimate exploration of migration\, memory\, and the profound cost of leaving everything behind. \nCreated and performed by the artists whose stories it tells\, the production weaves together movement\, song\, and storytelling to illuminate the reality of crossing borders\, both physical and emotional. \nThrough the lives of Etta\, Daria\, and Deniz and her husband Suat\, we witness the moments of departure\, survival and transformation: the fragments of a life packed into a suitcase\, the fear and hope of starting again\, and the quiet strength required to rebuild a sense of self in an unfamiliar world. \n3 Migrant Women moves beyond headlines and statistics to centre lived experience\, celebrating resilience\, humour and the universal desire for home.

SUMMARY:Saria Callas
DESCRIPTION:Saria Callas is a bold multimedia play about aspiring to be a singer while growing up in a place where it is forbidden for women to sing. \nAlready a bottle of red in\, Saria reminisces about her experiences of childhood to womanhood. We revisit Tehran\, the schoolbus parties\, the wannabe prayer-caller and the secret acts of rebellion at the all-girls’ school. \n“Did I get used to oppression\, or is music my way of fighting?” \nNow Saria stands at a crossroads with her child. How does a woman who has experienced firsthand repression of her body and voice react as her child struggles with their own gender identity? This sexy\, camp\, pop-filled play highlights an often unheard perspective of the supportive parent\, unpacking the intersectional grey area of what life is like for women. \nSaria Callas was commissioned by Camden People’s Theatre’s Starting Blocks and was originally co-presented with A Play\, A Pie and A Pint. Devised with support from Oxford Playhouse as part of EVOLVE and public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

SUMMARY:Man or Bear
DESCRIPTION:Katie Hurley and Sarah Hehir present in association with Croydonites: \nMan or Bear is a fast-moving\, darkly comic new play about fear\, friendship and survival inspired by the viral question ‘Would you rather be alone in the woods with a man or a bear?’ \nBlending kitchen-sink realism\, music and bold physical sequences\, it follows three generations of women in the lead-up to an act of violence. \nRather than centring the perpetrator\, the play turns its focus to women’s resilience\, humour and solidarity\, offering a poetic and unsettling reflection on modern day misogyny.
