DESCRIPTION:Explore how to design a grief tending journey and how to meet grief and loss with more creativity and confidence.\nGrief comes in many forms and we welcome them all – grief about life changes\, bereavement and childhood losses\, as well as ancestral\, ecological and collective grief. \nThis workshop programme is for anyone interested in forming a grief tending peer group\, and for professionals working in any context where grief is an issue who wish to find out more about this community approach. \nHave you taken part in a grief tending circle\, and feel inspired to find out more about this approach?\nAre you working in a professional capacity with people experiencing grief\, and keen to explore how this community approach could inform your work?\nAre you looking to become more confident about approaching grief (your own and others) and feel drawn to the idea of growing a more grief-literate culture?\nAre you curious about the crossover between professional and peer-led approaches to healing\, and the interplay between individual and collective wellbeing?\nAre you looking to take a first step towards becoming a grief tending facilitator?\nAre you interested in learning how to set up your own group or in helping your community form a grief tending peer group?\nIf you answered yes to one or more of these questions\, you would be welcome to join us for this learning journey to explore these and other questions.

SUMMARY:Grief Tending in Community Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Experience a range of different grief tending practices and a simple accessible ceremony in this day-long grief tending. Grief comes in many forms and we welcome them all – grief about life changes\, bereavement and childhood losses\, as well as ancestral\, ecological and collective grief. \nYou are warmly invited to join us for this day-long workshop which has been designed to witness\, hold\, and transform your grief. \nWe will gently explore each stage of the grief tending journey through circle sharing\, conversation in pairs\, small group work and an accessible\, inclusive ceremony. The session will include an introduction to the broad spectrum of loss\, inspired by the ‘gates of grief’ map offered by Francis Weller\, which includes collective grief (ecological\, generational etc.) as well as personal losses such as bereavement and life transitions.
