At the heart of this new performance lies the Peryton – a legendary stag with wings and the shadow of a man. Through a mythological lens\, Shadows of The Stag reimagines the arrival of the Chinese water deer to the region\, asking what happens when myth collides with fact\, and bringing attention to wildlife conservation along the East Anglian coast both on land and in the depths of the sea.
