DESCRIPTION:HAPPINESS HABITS \nThis 6-week course has been developed by the charity Action for Happiness\, drawing on the wisdom of experts across many fields to cover the practical habits of living a happier life and spreading happiness to others. \nWeek-by-Week Breakdown: \nWeek 1: Gratitude\, Thursday\, September 4\, 2025 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM \nWeek 2: Self-Care\, Thursday\, September 11\, 2025 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM \nWeek 3: Relationships\, Thursday\, September 18\, 2025 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM \nWeek 4: Resilience\, Thursday\, September 25\, 2025 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM \nWeek 5: Kindness\, Thursday\, October 2\, 2025 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM \nWeek 6: Meaning\, Thursday\, October 9\, 2025 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM \nAll timings are local time for the course location. \nThe course is run by local volunteers and is offered on a donation basis—so please feel free to give whatever you can afford. Jon Kabat-Zinn – Professor of Medicine\, University of Massachusetts & Richard Layard – Economist\, London School of Economics \nWHO THE COURSE IS FOR\nThis course is for anyone interested in exploring how to create and share happiness—whether you’re: \n– Rebuilding your well-being after tough times\n– Seeking the latest research to dive deeper into happiness science\n– Looking to connect with like-minded people for mutual support\n– Eager to help others from family and friends to your wider community\n– No prior experience is required. If you have a keen interest in boosting your own happiness or in helping others lead happier lives\, this course is for you. \nPlease note: while the course is supportive and community-focused\, it is not group therapy. If you’re experiencing severe challenges\, we recommend seeking professional help. \nWhy Six Weeks? \nWe know 6 weekly sessions might feel like a big commitment\, but many past participants say this structure helps them steadily build new habits and truly experience positive change.
