SUMMARY:Larking Gowen Norwich Half Marathon 2027
DESCRIPTION:Good Running Events looks forward to welcoming thousands of runners of all abilities and ages back to the Norfolk Showground\, for the Larking Gowen Norwich Half Marathon. \nTaking place on Sunday 4th April 2027 and organised by Good Running Events\, the Larking Gowen Norwich Half Marathon has long been a major event in the East Anglian running calendar. \nWith a start and finish based within the Norfolk Showground site\, and a super scenic route along closed roads through the countryside in the Heart of Norfolk\, do not miss the return of this iconic event. \nRegistration Open: 8.00am\nHalf Marathon Start: 10.00am\nEvent close: 1:30pm \nAge limits –\n17+ for the Half Marathon. \nA bespoke medal will be available to all runners. Chip Timing is in operation on the Half Marathon. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female runners\, and first male and female in each age category. \nThe race will start and finish at Norfolk Showground\, and the event features roads that are fully closed for the purpose of the event. The course will be marshalled and clearly signposted. Unfortunately no pets\, wheelchairs or prams are able to be used within the race. \nThe Event Village will be open from 8:00am. Further details regarding race packs will be made available nearer the event. On receipt of your bib number\, Runners MUST write their name\, any medical condition\, emergency contact name and contact number on reverse of their race number where requested. \nPlease follow all signage and Marshal’s directions at all times and keep to the left unless instructed otherwise. There is a cutoff of 3.5hours for this event. \nMedical teams will be present onsite – if you feel pain\, experience dizziness or any other symptoms immediately stop running and seek help from a marshal\, who can radio through for medical assistance. \nThere will be at least 4 water stations out on the course. \nIn ear Headphones are strictly prohibited from the race. Bone conducting headphones are permitted – so long as you can still hear marshal instructions clearly. \nUnfortunately\, refunds are not available\, but if you are unable to run on the day\, transfers are available on the website until 23:59 on 21st March 2027. After this date\, PLEASE DO NOT pass your race number to someone else. If this is identified\, both the runner and ‘new runner’ will be disqualified\, banned from future races and referred to the permit regulators. \nAmple parking is available at the Norfolk Showground. Further details on allocated car parks will be made available pre event and in the race guide. \nThe organisers accept no responsibility for runners vehicles\, contents\, or baggage. Further details about any baggage and key drop facilities will be confirmed within the pre race instructions email – sent one week before the event. \nPhotos and video will be taken on the day\, and details shared with runners in the post race email and on social media. \n  \nEntries are non-refundable but deferrals and transfers to another runner are available until midnight on 21/03/2027. Login to defer or transfer your entry.
