This is a great opportunity for visitors to not only see the fantastic and unique (in that you can tour the building) Grade II RAF Station Headquarters and its 3 acres of gardens, but also experience a range of activities and displays, including flypasts and a wide range of ground activities. More areas of the SHQ building will be open this year, and more of the garden has been developed.
In addition to a wide range of military-related displays and activities, from aircraft cockpits to various displays, there is a children’s activity area – and a special cockpit simulator for children (a great photo opportunity).
The craft and trade fair includes a variety of stalls with something to interest most tastes. We also have a massive sale of new books, from children’s books to crafts, cookery, sports, military, novels, games and more- over 2,000 brand new books at crazy low prices!
Our tombola has an amazing selection of over 300 prizes. Food and drink options include our Veterans Central café and a Hog Roast – but you are also welcome to picnic in the 3 acres of gardens.
The Hunter and Canberra cockpits will also be open to view.
The event opens at 10.00 a.m. and closes at 3.00 p.m.
