Join mycology expert Dr Tony Leech for a day-long course to help you with the process of fungi identification\, by taking a structured look at fungi and how to separate them into the main groups of mushrooms and toadstools. \nThe day will start with an illustrated talk looking at examples of fungi species found in Britain. The group will then set out on a field visit (foray)\, including a walk of up to 2 miles\, to collect and examine specimens from the variety of habitats found at Sheringham Park. Specimens found will be identified during the practical and hands-on afternoon session\, using field guides. \nThe day will conclude with advice on developing your interest further\, including the collecting of fungi to eat\, and look at the range of literature and online resources available.
