DESCRIPTION:Join us at Peter Beales Roses this January for a fascinating lecture with our horticultural expert\, Dawn\, on the science behind plant dormancy.\nIn this free\, hour-long presentation\, Dawn will talk you through the reasons why plants sleep over the winter to counteract bad weather. Together\, you will look at examples of different plants in their dormant state and learn about the adaptations they make to survive cold British winters. \nThen in the afternoon Dawn will be on hand in the garden centre to answer any of your questions about your own plants and advise on any issues or concerns you may be having. \nThis course is perfect for garden enthusiasts and beginners alike\, who want to learn more about their perennials’ life cycle through the winter or may be worried about whether the plants in their garden are still alive. \nThis is a free session as part of our January Plant Education series; no payment is required. \nTHE DETAILS\nDates: Saturday 17th January \nTime: 11am – 12pm with a drop in Q&A session from 1pm -3pm \nPeter Beales Roses\, London Road\, Attleborough\, Norfolk\, NR17 1AY \nFREE TO ATTEND \nGET TO KNOW DAWN\nDawn is our resident horticulture expert and has been a crucial part of the Peter Beales team for several years.
