SUMMARY:Morgan Rees: What a Bummer
DESCRIPTION:Following a sold-out 2024 tour\, acclaimed stand-up and online sensation Morgan Rees is back on the road with a hugely anticipated brand-new show. \nAfter Morgan and his partner went on separate holidays – one to a Mathematics Forum in Coventry and the other to a Bear Party in Barcelona – a massive revelation forced Morgan to re-evaluate everything. Being banned from Great Western trains\, being fired as a Naked Butler\, and ghosting Paul McCartney… were they really his fault? \nHas that got you hooked? Good\, because that’s the only stuff appropriate enough to include in the blurb. A stand-up show about the trials and errors of falling in love and keeping the spark alive\, the spiral-inducing limbo of awaiting a diagnosis\, and the experience of being a white Welsh valley boy integrating into a proud Gujarati family. Oh\, he’s got plenty to talk about. \nAs well as garnering millions of views online and rave-reviews for his live shows\, Morgan has supported Joanne McNally\, Rhys James and Jayde Adams on tour\, appeared as a finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards\, and hosts hit podcasts My Bad and Chatting With Cherubs alongside Josh Jones and Gearóid Farrelly.

DESCRIPTION:The wonderful world of Jacqueline Wilson \nJaqueline Wilson is back for Norwich Book Festival 2026\, this time at Norwich Theatre Playhouse! Don’t miss your chance to see this bestselling author\, former Children’s Laureate\, and icon of children’s literature. \nJacqueline Wilson’s books have shaped generations of young readers\, redefining what children’s literature can address and bringing complex issues— such as family breakdown\, mental health\, poverty\, and identity. SUMMARY:What the wild does to us: Nick Acheson and Harriet Mead in conversation as part of Norwich Book Festival
DESCRIPTION:Over more than a decade\, Norfolk Wildlife Trust Ambassador Nick Acheson has written a column for Norfolk Magazine\, championing the wildlife of our county. In spring 2026\, in celebration of NWT’s centenary\, 60 of those articles were brought together in This Wild Dream – a portrait of Norfolk Wildlife Trust through its places\, people\, species and ambitions. \nIn parallel\, Nick has worked for more than a year with the Society of Wildlife Artists (SWLA) at Massingham Heath. From 2025 to 2026\, over 30 artists visited Massingham to document – in drawing\, painting\, sculpture and print – the restoration of 900 acres of biodiverse grassland and the exuberant wildlife that has returned. This Healing Heath is SWLA’s celebration of that transformation: a West Norfolk valley given back to nature\, rendered in art and in Nick’s words. \nTwo books\, two ways of seeing\, one landscape. SWLA President Harriet Mead and Nick Acheson approach the natural world from different directions – one through paint and line\, one through language – but they share a conviction that paying attention to wild places matters deeply. In this far-reaching\, light-hearted conversation\, they explore nature restoration in Norfolk\, what wild habitats do to us as human beings\, and why we have always needed to capture the living world in art\, in words and in song. \nThis event is part of Norwich Book Festival. Norwich Book Festival | A Celebration of Stories \nTicket income helps support Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s work protecting wildlife and wild places across the county. For this event we have included a Supporter ticket for those who would like to support Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s work protecting wildlife and wild places while enjoying an evening of conversation.
