DESCRIPTION:We’re welcoming artists from across the UK for our specially curated Sculpture Trail. \nJoin us to see new pieces of sculpture from acclaimed UK artists in this summers Sculpture Trail. All of the pieces have been specifically selected to represent the passion Pensthorpe has for the natural world. \nThe trail officially opens from Saturday 7th June and will run throughout the summer until Tuesday 30th September. \nFor those who want to bring a piece of the sculpture trail home\, selected artists\, including local creative Amberlights and LV Bespoke are offering their work for sale in the Pensthorpe shop. \nWhy not make the most of your visit and take a tour on the Discovery Explorer to see our magnificent 700 acre site up close. *additional fee applies.

DESCRIPTION:Revelation was created and curated by Dr Robert Anderson \nMuseum exhibitions have been available to the public in Britain for over 400 years. Their nature and purpose have changed greatly over this period\, as have the buildings in which they have been housed. \nIn the early period exhibitions tended to display the natural world\, but it was not long before collections built up to reveal ancient civilisations. In the 19th century\, many exhibitions provided information on industry and manufacturing processes\, while art galleries allowed the public to see works which previously were only in private collections. In recent times\, the subject matter of exhibitions has proliferated\, with a strong emphasis on education. \nRevelation offers a brief but intriguing overview of an important aspect of our cultural life.
