As a professional contemporary dance instructor I will guide you through easy-to-follow movements that get us all moving across the floor together (think folk dance) as we move towards more rhythmic and dynamic moves (think freeflow clubbing)\, ensuring you have a great time while learning new moves and connecting with yourself and others. There is also space to rest and observe from the sidelines\, if needed. \nDon’t miss out on this opportunity to dance with others in a safe and inclusive space\, enjoying the great vibes of dancing in the golden light of the change of season in the beautiful and ornate Orangery\, a grade II listed building\, at the new Carrow House in Norwich. The class is led by Carrow House member and American-British dance specialist and teacher Sara Wookey. We uphold a friendly\, non-competitive and inclusive dance environment where everyone can find their own pace and experience the joy of dancing alone and with a group.

He made his BBC debut at the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards with – frankly – terrifying results\, a lot of which is discussed in Show Pony for therapeutic reasons. \nShow Pony has been described by Mr Swallow as “payback for everyone who didn’t come to the last tour” and “my most personal/libellous show to date” and will cover everything from not having his own sitcom to not having his own sitcom… and everything in between (critical race theory). As per… expect magic\, music and a whole load of brand new mistakes… balanced seamlessly with a story about Tim Henman. \nNick Mohammed is one of the UK’s most celebrated comedians\, actors and writers. Nick has received feverish critical acclaim for his previous Mr Swallow shows Dracula\, Houdini and A Christmas Carol (ish)\, which played to rave reviews in London’s West End last Christmas\, alongside his first UK tour The Very Best & Worst of Mr Swallow in 2023\, which sold-out across the UK including multiple additional dates. \nNick plays Nate in Apple TV’s hit multi-award-winning series Ted Lasso\, for which he was nominated twice for Outstanding Supporting Actor at the Emmy Awards. He will soon be seen in the feature film Deep Cover for Amazon Prime\, starring alongside Orlando Bloom and Bryce Dallas Howard. \nHe has recently been seen starring in Sally Wainwright’s Renegade Nell (Disney+) and Steven Moffat’s Douglas Is Cancelled (ITV). Nick created\, wrote\, and starred (alongside David Schwimmer) in his own Sky TV hit show Intelligence. DESCRIPTION:On their first visit to Norwich\, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra will perform a programme of classical favourites. \nThe exceptionally talented Freddy Kempf joins the orchestra to perform Rachmaninov’s much-loved second piano concerto. One of the most popular piano concerti in the entire repertoire\, it is also arguably Rachmaninov’s best-known work\, made famous by its romantic theme featured in the film ‘Brief Encounter’. The work’s popularity was cemented more recently when it took the Number 1 spot in Classic FM’s Hall of Fame in 2024. \nIn the second half\, the Theatre Royal audience will be treated to a masterful performance of Tchaikovsky’s triumphant Fifth Symphony; with the magnificent horn solo opening the second movement and “untamed fury” of the fourth movement\, this is a concert not to be missed.

DESCRIPTION:Zimbabwean born singer\, musician and storyteller Anna Mudeka tells the remarkable life story of an iconic South African singer\, songwriter and civil rights activist\, Miriam Makeba; charting her rise from the townships of Johannesburg to global star\, forced into exile for her stand against apartheid and marginalised for championing Black rights. Told in four character incarnations chronicling a life blighted by hardship\, tragedy and struggle\, Mama Afrika is a story of hope\, determination & song and features many best loved songs including Mbube\, Pata Pata and Soweto Blues\, embodying an irrepressible spirit and integrity and which earned her legendary status. \nMama Afrika is a solo performance by Anna Mudeka and is produced for family audiences of all ages. Script by Zimbabwean writer Tomas Lutuli Brickhill\, musical direction and special sound effects by John Vigar at Tontena Music\, song backing tracks recorded by Zimbabwean multi-instrumentalist Ziva Guveya. Directed by Tonia Daley-Campbell. Produced by Arts La’Olam. Originally co-commissioned by Norwich Arts Centre the show is supported by The Arts Council of England\, The Miriam Makeba Foundation and Norwich Theatre.
