DESCRIPTION:Uncover the story behind our artisan English wines from between the rows themselves on an exclusive vineyard tour led by Norfolk’s original winemaker\, John Hemmant and his team who work with him in the winery and on the vineyard. \nWeekly tours on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11:00 am until 13:00 pm and also from 15:00 to 17:00. Please book in advance to guarantee a place \nThe tour starts with a walk around the vines learning about pruning techniques\, the different grape varieties that we grow and management of the vines on our sustainable vineyard. Next the tour moves to the winery where you will hear some of the secrets of winemaking and depending on the time of the year you may even get to sample some wine directly from the vat. Finally you will enjoy a wine tasting of up to 5 wines – both still and sparkling from grapes grown on our vineyard and named after the birds that visit us. \nIf you are on a morning tour why not add lunch after your tour – or if visiting us in the afternoon book lunch before your tour. We also offer picnics amongst the vines. All lunches and picnics need to be booked in advance please. \nWell behaved dogs are welcome on a lead. All of the pieces have been specifically selected to represent the passion Pensthorpe has for the natural world. \nThe trail officially opens from Saturday 7th June and will run throughout the summer until Tuesday 30th September. \nFor those who want to bring a piece of the sculpture trail home\, selected artists\, including local creative Amberlights and LV Bespoke are offering their work for sale in the Pensthorpe shop. \nWhy not make the most of your visit and take a tour on the Discovery Explorer to see our magnificent 700 acre site up close. *additional fee applies.

SUMMARY:Ale Tales: a tour of Norwich's pubs old and new
DESCRIPTION:A guided walking tour with Jonathan Hooton around some of Norwich’s many pubs\, including those still operating\, whilst looking at evidence for those no longer with us. It will include many facts and ale tales about these much loved buildings and their breweries. During the walk we will debunk the claim that Norwich had a pub for every day\, a very inaccurate boast. \nJonathan Hooton is a City of Norwich Tour Guide\, a former Head of Geography at Notre Dame High School and a regular feature in the Society’s event programme. \nThe walk will start outside the Sir Garnet\, 36 Market Place\, NR1 1RD and will conclude at The Plough on St Benedict’s Street and take up to 2hrs.
