DESCRIPTION:Fungi are a fascinating and diverse group\, but the sheer number of species can make identifying them a daunting prospect. Join mycology expert Dr Tony Leech for a day-long course to help you with the process of fungi identification\, including a foray and an indoor session.\nThe day will start with an illustrated talk looking at examples of fungi species found in Britain. The group will then set out on a field visit (foray)\, including a walk of up to 2 miles\, to collect and examine specimens from the variety of habitats found at Sheringham Park. Specimens found will be identified during the practical and hands-on afternoon session\, using field guides.\nThe day will conclude with advice on developing your interest further\, including the collecting of fungi to eat\, and look at the range of literature and online resources available.

Nr Holt. \nThe fourth Bayfield Hall Sculpture Trail features contemporary artists\, sculptors\, musicians and makers in the beautiful gardens and grounds of Bayfield Hall near Holt. The trail is curated by Sarah Cannell with kind permission to use the private gardens and chapel by Caroline and Roger Combe. An uplifting\, inspiring natural space for people to experience contemporary art in a beautiful rural setting in North Norfolk. \nVisitors to the site will be able to walk through 3 acres of grounds\, woodland and wild gardens to view the work of over 45 artists from across the UK. The circular trail ends in the fabulous Old Stables Decorative Antiques and Interiors shops with a pop up gallery featuring works by artists from the trail. Some works on the trail are available for sale or artists can be commissioned. Visitors can also visit the Natural Surroundings Wildflower Cafe with it’s beautiful plant nursery. \nSome works have been created specifically for the space and some works are on tour from the hugely successful Raveningham Sculpture Trail in south Norfolk which happens annually over the summer.

DESCRIPTION:Bayfield Hall Sculpture Trail \n17th Sept – 19th Oct 2025 \nOpen Wed – Sun\, 10 – 5pm. \nThe Sculpture Trail features works by contemporary artists from across the UK set in the beautiful private gardens of Bayfield Hall. \nBayfield Hall\, Bayfield\, Norfolk\, NR25 7JN. Nr Holt. \nThe fourth Bayfield Hall Sculpture Trail features contemporary artists\, sculptors\, musicians and makers in the beautiful gardens and grounds of Bayfield Hall near Holt. The trail is curated by Sarah Cannell with kind permission to use the private gardens and chapel by Caroline and Roger Combe. An uplifting\, inspiring natural space for people to experience contemporary art in a beautiful rural setting in North Norfolk. \nVisitors to the site will be able to walk through 3 acres of grounds\, woodland and wild gardens to view the work of over 45 artists from across the UK. The circular trail ends in the fabulous Old Stables Decorative Antiques and Interiors shops with a pop up gallery featuring works by artists from the trail. Some works on the trail are available for sale or artists can be commissioned. Visitors can also visit the Natural Surroundings Wildflower Cafe with it’s beautiful plant nursery. \nSome works have been created specifically for the space and some works are on tour from the hugely successful Raveningham Sculpture Trail in south Norfolk which happens annually over the summer.

DESCRIPTION:Fungi are a fascinating and diverse group\, but the sheer number of species can make identifying them a daunting prospect. Join mycology expert Dr Tony Leech for a day-long course to help you with the process of fungi identification\, including a foray and an indoor session.\nThe day will start with an illustrated talk looking at examples of fungi species found in Britain. The group will then set out on a field visit (foray)\, including a walk of up to 2 miles\, to collect and examine specimens from the variety of habitats found at Sheringham Park. Specimens found will be identified during the practical and hands-on afternoon session\, using field guides.\nThe day will conclude with advice on developing your interest further\, including the collecting of fungi to eat\, and look at the range of literature and online resources available.

DESCRIPTION:Uncover the story behind our artisan English wines from between the rows themselves on an exclusive vineyard tour led by Norfolk’s original winemaker\, John Hemmant and his team who work with him in the winery and on the vineyard. \nWeekly tours on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11:00 am until 13:00 pm and also from 15:00 to 17:00. Please book in advance to guarantee a place \nThe tour starts with a walk around the vines learning about pruning techniques\, the different grape varieties that we grow and management of the vines on our sustainable vineyard. Next the tour moves to the winery where you will hear some of the secrets of winemaking and depending on the time of the year you may even get to sample some wine directly from the vat. Finally you will enjoy a wine tasting of up to 5 wines – both still and sparkling from grapes grown on our vineyard and named after the birds that visit us. \nIf you are on a morning tour why not add lunch after your tour – or if visiting us in the afternoon book lunch before your tour. We also offer picnics amongst the vines. All lunches and picnics need to be booked in advance please. \nWell behaved dogs are welcome on a lead.
