SUMMARY:Cally Beaton - Namaste Motherf*ckers
DESCRIPTION:Namaste Motherf*ckers is the new show from Cally Beaton (QI\, Live at the Apollo) – a quick-witted\, unexpected and unapologetic insight into life in midlife. \nCombining Cally’s comedic and storytelling prowess with extracts from her provocative\, stereotype-busting book of the same name\, the show has at its heart her own story of radical reinvention – taking her from meetings in boardrooms to treading the boards\, thanks to a chance conversation with the late\, great Joan Rivers. \nA funny show about a deadly serious subject\, Namaste Motherf*ckers is a celebration of and for the female of the species. Invisible no more. The show includes a Q&A and meet-and-greet with Cally (who knows\, Jeff the wonder dog may even be there\, too).

SUMMARY:Hasbian
DESCRIPTION:How did Beth go from a childhood dreaming of The Wizard of Oz\, to cringey Cruel Intentions-obsessed adolescence? From proudly identifying as a teenage lesbian\, to discovering that boys are also appealing?\nBeth’s real teenage diary is brought to life in vivid hilarity in Hasbian: a “simultaneously relatable and educational… unique insight on growing up queer in the 90s” (★★★★★ – A Young-ish Perspective). Original animations\, inspired by teen magazines\, feature an all-star 00’s fantasy cast (in cut-out form)\, as Beth’s BFFs and first crushes are re-imagined as “played by” the likes of Lindsay Lohan\, Natasha Lyonne and Ashton Kutcher. \nDripping in equal measures with heartfelt earnestness\, sharp irony\, and humour that bubbles up in the place between youthful confidence and pubescent self-doubt\, Hasbian delves behind the rollercoaster of teenage life\, into the reality of growing up queer in Brighton (the UK’s Gay Capital) under Section 28 (1988-2003 law\, prohibiting teaching “homosexuality as a pretended family relationship”). Set to a soundtrack of y2k pop classics (B*Witched\, Destiny’s Child\, S Club 7)\, and indie angst anthems (Placebo\, Weezer\, Garbage) Hasbian fills audiences with buzzy nostalgia\, while exposing prejudice in the most liberal of cities. \nFrom the creators of Queer Diary – the night where LGBTQIA+ adults read their real teenage diaries on stage.

SUMMARY:Golden Light Community Contemporary Dance Class
DESCRIPTION:Come join us at Carrow House for a fun\, easy and uplifting new community dance class that will inspire you to move and groove together. Whether you’re a beginner\, curious about movement or a seasoned dancer\, this class is open to everyone. As a professional contemporary dance instructor I will guide you through easy-to-follow movements that get us all moving across the floor together (think folk dance) as we move towards more rhythmic and dynamic moves (think freeflow clubbing)\, ensuring you have a great time while learning new moves and connecting with yourself and others. There is also space to rest and observe from the sidelines\, if needed. \nDon’t miss out on this opportunity to dance with others in a safe and inclusive space\, enjoying the great vibes of dancing in the golden light of the change of season in the beautiful and ornate Orangery\, a grade II listed building\, at the new Carrow House in Norwich. The class is led by Carrow House member and American-British dance specialist and teacher Sara Wookey. We uphold a friendly\, non-competitive and inclusive dance environment where everyone can find their own pace and experience the joy of dancing alone and with a group.

SUMMARY:Stoking The Embers of Possibilities 7 week Meditation Series
DESCRIPTION:This exciting new meditation series starts in Sept-Oct 2025 in Norwich. \nThis meditation series draws on ancient wisdom practices and psychology ideas that both share that when we turn toward experiences that can help to “gladden the mind” this supports our wellbeing and increases our connection to ourselves\, are wholeness and joy. \nThis meditation class is about having an invitation to meet yourself just as you are\, however you maybe. This is gold\, the ability to know ourselves and connect to our inner wisdom. This helps us turn insights into possibilities! \nSpecifically in this meditation series I will be sharing ways we can:\n– get to know over selves better because with insight comes choice and freedom\n– develop a warmer more loving relationship to over selves because with compassion and warm we gain courage which helps us to take brave aligned steps\n– develop a stronger connection to our inner wisdom because when we lived from an aligned place\, we can experience freedom and joy and the breath and wealth of truly living \nThis is a closed meditation class (eg all attending commit to coming to the full series).
