SUMMARY:Round the Horne
DESCRIPTION:CLASSIC COMEDY fans will be in their element as Apollo Theatre Company bring the classic radio comedy show\, Round the Horne to life in a new\, exciting production. \nNow in its fifth UK tour\, this production transports the audience back to the late 1960s and the anarchic\, boisterous atmosphere of the BBC’s Paris Theatre during the recordings of the programme that defined the genre for decades to come\, complete with a live band and live sound effects. \nWith its infamous movie spoofs and hilarious regular characters such as Julian & Sandy\, Rambling Syd Rumpo and J. Peasemold Gruntfuttock\, Round the Horne was a cultural phenomenon\, regularly drawing up to 15 million listeners per week and making stars of Kenneth Horne\, Kenneth Williams\, Hugh Paddick and Betty Marsden. \nToday\, 55 years since its first broadcast\, the show is still as popular as ever and audiences at over twenty venues will have the chance to experience live what makes the show so special. \nCreated with the blessing and support of the estates of the show’s writers\, Barry Took and Marty Feldman\, director Tim Astley has hand-picked a selection of the greatest sketches and songs from the 67 original episodes.

It was such an insightful 2 part process with a wonderful group\nof people. Suzanne lead the way for us to explore different aspects of what it\nmeans to be a storyteller\, how to strip back to the bones\, then how to\nembody the story and add the “Flesh”\, the details that paint the picture. SUMMARY:MATT
DESCRIPTION:After two completely sold-out performances last year\, MATT returns by popular demand — now touring venues across Norfolk and Suffolk. \nBased on the real-life story of writer\, director and lead actor Peter Dewar\, MATT is a raw\, real\, and thought-provoking journey through depression\, addiction\, and the fight to survive. It dives headfirst into the darkness — unflinching\, emotionally charged\, and painfully honest. \nBut this is more than just Matt’s story. It’s also about the devastating impact mental illness can have on the people who love him — the partner left in silence\, the parents consumed by fear and helplessness. \nPraised as “brutally honest\,” “a masterpiece of resilience\,” and “unforgettable\,” MATT is a powerful\, emotional\, and ultimately hopeful piece of theatre that dares to speak the truth. \nOne night. One fight. One story that stays with you.\nLast year’s tickets sold out fast — book now to avoid missing out.
