DESCRIPTION:Uncover the story behind our artisan English wines from between the rows themselves on an exclusive vineyard tour led by Norfolk’s original winemaker\, John Hemmant and his team who work with him in the winery and on the vineyard. \nWeekly tours on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11:00 am until 13:00 pm and also from 15:00 to 17:00. Please book in advance to guarantee a place \nThe tour starts with a walk around the vines learning about pruning techniques\, the different grape varieties that we grow and management of the vines on our sustainable vineyard. Next the tour moves to the winery where you will hear some of the secrets of winemaking and depending on the time of the year you may even get to sample some wine directly from the vat. Finally you will enjoy a wine tasting of up to 5 wines – both still and sparkling from grapes grown on our vineyard and named after the birds that visit us. \nIf you are on a morning tour why not add lunch after your tour – or if visiting us in the afternoon book lunch before your tour. We also offer picnics amongst the vines. All lunches and picnics need to be booked in advance please. \nWell behaved dogs are welcome on a lead. DESCRIPTION:A discussion around the upcoming changes to Inheritance Tax\nIn spite of (or perhaps because of)Jeremy Clarkson’s special pleading\, Rachel Reeve’s changes to Inheritance tax on farms and business assets are going ahead pretty much as originally proposed. While it’s hard to feel too sorry for the mega-wealthy Mr Clarkson the changes will impact many families of more modest means. Add to this the confirmation that pension assets will now form part of an estate\, and pretty much all our clients will be impacted to a greater or lesser degree. \nIn this session\, we’ll start by reminding ourselves how inheritance tax is calculated\, how the exemptions work and how gifts are taxed (or can avoid being taxed). We’ll go on to look in some detail at the proposals for pensions using case studies where we’ll discuss actions we can take to mitigate\, avoid or at least lessen the impact. \nThe good news is that we have a little time before the changes take effect\, but\, as always\, it’s better to be prepared well in advance.
