SUMMARY:Sisters 360
DESCRIPTION:Hopes\, hurdles and halfpipes. \nFatima and Salima are the closest\, coolest\, hijab-wearing step-sisters in all of Bradford – and nothing is going to stop them from winning the Tiny is Mighty skateboarding competition. With their eyes on the prize and their boards under their feet\, they are unstoppable. That is\, until they overhear whispers in the kitchen… their parents might be splitting up. Suddenly\, everything is at risk – their friendship\, their family\, and their dream. Only the greatest super-plan ever concocted can keep them together and on track for victory. \nSisters 360 is a funny\, heartfelt and high-energy new play written by Asif Khan\, inspired by the real-life “Hijabi Sisters” from Hull – three skateboard-loving siblings who have challenged stereotypes and inspired countless others\, following in the footsteps of their hero\, Olympic medallist Sky Brown. With skateboarding tricks\, sibling banter and a whole lot of heart\, this uplifting story explores the power of family\, friendship and resilience in the face of change. \nAt its core\, Sisters 360 is about courage\, creativity and the determination to hold on to what matters most. It’s a story about finding strength in teamwork\, navigating life’s challenges\, and daring to dream big even when the ground beneath you feels unsteady. The play also gently opens up conversations about family life\, separation and how children discover their own voice when faced with change. \nPerfect for ages 8–12 (and anyone who remembers being that age)\, Sisters 360 is boisterous\, joyful and inspiring – a celebration of skateboards\, sisterhood and standing proud.

SUMMARY:Two Halves of Guinness
DESCRIPTION:In an exceptional exploration of one of Britain’s greatest actors\, Zeb Soanes brings the life of Sir Alec Guinness to stage across the UK\, marking the 25th anniversary of his death. With nearly 70plays\, 50 films\, over a dozen television dramas\, and two Oscars to his name\, Sir Alec Guinness’ career spanned Shakespeare\, the beloved Ealing comedies\, and Hollywood classics. Yet he feared he would only be remembered for one role: Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars. \nTwo Halves of Guinness is a witty\, heartfelt tour through Guinness’ extraordinary life and career – his encounters with John Gielgud\, Shakespeare\, the greats of stage and screen\, and the galaxy of stars who shaped his journey. \nAcclaimed broadcaster and actor Zeb Soanes stars as Alec Guinness. Known as one of the most recognisable voices in the UK through his years on BBC Radio 4 (Today Programme\, Shipping Forecast) and now on Classic FM\, Soanes also acted in numerous BBC radio dramas alongside David Warner\, Toby Jones\, and Simon Russell Beale. When Soanes was 17 years old\, he wrote a letter of admiration to Sir Alec Guinness – his hero – and received a neatly hand-written reply within a week\, wishing him luck in his career. Now\, decades later\, Soanes embodies Guinness on stage\, lending his rich voice and virtuosity to once again breathe life into the legendary actor and the unforgettable figures who shaped his career.

SUMMARY:Imperfect Storms: New Work from East Anglian Writers
DESCRIPTION:The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain and Norwich Theatre Stage Two present another evening of bold\, surprising new writing by East Anglian writers. \nThe writers featured have worked across TV\, film\, theatre\, radio\, fiction\, comedy\, poetry and video games\, and the programme reflects that variety. Expect a lively mix of voices\, forms and ideas – these are works in progress\, fresh off the printer\, presented with script in hand. \nNo two showcases are ever the same. Last year\, shows explored the secret lives of grizzly bears\, ghosts behaving badly in suburbia\, and parents waging quiet wars over school bake sales. Stories jumped from Napoleonic duels to dating apps\, viral AI scandals to wartime testimony and darkly comic confessions. The shows have also been a springboard for work that has gone on to be funded by the Arts Council and professionally toured. So come along so you can say you saw it here first! \nThe evening is curated by writer-performer Stephen Keyworth\, of the Intellectual Hooligans\, whose Radio 4 credits include The Princess Bride and The Man Who Fell to Earth (winner of the 2025 New York Radio Awards Grand Tower Trophy). Drawing on experience across theatre\, radio and live performance\, he brings together writers\, performers and audiences for an exciting evening of risk and surprises. \nThe Writers’ Guild of Great Britain has been representing and campaigning for working writers since 1959. This showcase is supported by Norwich Theatre’s Creative Development department. \n“The Writers’ Guild is a bright spot in a dark world\, and I feel very grateful to it.”\nTom Stoppard

SUMMARY:Box Tale Soup presents: 1984
DESCRIPTION:‘To the future or to the past\, to a time when thought is free: From the age of uniformity\, from the age of Big Brother\, from the age of doublethink… greetings!’ \nAward winning Box Tale Soup present a stunning new adaptation of Orwell’s dystopian classic. Known for their ingenious sets and slick storytelling\, Box Tale Soup’s unique puppetry becomes a striking metaphor for Orwell’s chilling vision of power and control. \nThe year is 1984\, perhaps – it is impossible to tell for certain. We are being watched\, Big Brother is everywhere\, truth changes daily\, and everyone conforms. But for Winston Smith\, insignificant cog in the Party’s vast machine\, this half-life is not enough. He dreams of freedom\, but is he the only one? Dreams can be deadly when rebellion begins with a thought.\nFeaturing the voices of Sophie Aldred & Joanna Lumley\, with Simon Russell Beale as the voice of Big Brother.
