SUMMARY:Luke Wright: Later Life Letter
DESCRIPTION:Later Life Letter tells the story of Luke Wright’s adoption – the life he leads\, and the one he might have done. What’s it like to stumble across your birth mother on Facebook? How do you honour the parents who have raised you while satisfying a curiosity about where you came from? Is it telling that you married a social worker? \nWright navigates his audience through a warm and honest hour of poems and stand-up with the wit\, pathos\, and silliness that has made him one of the most popular live poets in England. \nThis is a frank account of what it means to be someone’s child told by a performer who really knows what he’s doing. Expect raucous laughter\, tear-stained cheeks\, and a little smattering of drum n bass.

SUMMARY:Jenny Foulds: Life Learnings of a Nonsensical Human
DESCRIPTION:Life Learnings of a Nonsensical Human is an ode to the joy and complexities of friendship\, queerness and raving. To the kindness of strangers\, to the heart-break of loss and missing and finding joy in the most unlikely places. These stories are for old ravers and fun makers\, for anyone who has had a best friend. This is a love letter to the people we meet along the way and the sticky floors that we have danced on for all these years. \nSpoken word theatre in a debut one woman show that gleefully jumps from one subject to another in the way only an ADHD brain can. A series of poetic windows into the life and mind of Jenny Foulds\, from growing up in the 90s\, coming out and raves; to losing a parent\, grief and finding the ability to find pockets of joy again. \nLife Learnings of a Nonsensical Human is a debut\, spoken-word theatre show from Jenny Foulds\, queer performance poet\, writer and theatre-maker from Scotland. She is the owner of ADHD and Dyslexia. It’s about those who live\, laugh and love metres from us\, but who really\, we barely know at all. \nA couple run through the rain to catch a bus.\nA man stares at a blank laptop screen in desperation.\nA woman opens an envelope to find a photo inside.\nA new house on a new street with new neighbours. \nA roughly seventy-two minute show\, read from a little black book\, by a scruffy\, bearded\, glasses-wearing man in a red check shirt and black jeans who does not own a pressure washer. A new storytelling show** by Sam Freeman (Every Little Hope You Ever Dreamed\, Every Time I Close My Eyes). \n**This show has minimal references to dogs.

SUMMARY:Stories from an Invisible Town
DESCRIPTION:“Let me tell you about the imaginary town I lived in as a boy…” \nThis collection of dark comic stories woven together by BBC award-winning writer\, “the great Welsh storyteller” (The Stage)\, Shôn Dale-Jones. Stories from the Invisible Town is as much about the imagination as it is about innocence and not knowing what to do with the things we know. \nShôn takes us from the empty swimming pool up the hill to behind the woods\, introducing us to five-foot Tarzan\, Double Delyth and Lord Ivor as we feel the magnetic pull of the river sucking us in. As this made up town starts to feel more real\, Shôn wonders what’s happening to his imagination – it’s running riot. Joyous\, stomach-turning\, moving and very funny – could this be the best show Shôn has ever made? It could be. \nRecent shows by multi-award winning Shôn Dale-Jones include CRACKING and THE DUKE
