DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to welcome one of Germany’s most distinguished orchestras\, the Stuttgart Philharmonic\, to Norwich. \nThe Stuttgart Philharmonic are delighted to have as our soloist the brilliant young pianist Jeneba Kanneh-Mason\, whose family have made such a splash in British music over the last few years. She will perform one of Mozart’s most dramatic piano concertos\, his 20th Concerto in D minor which will be preceded by Mendelssohn’s ever popular Hebrides Overture. DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to be welcoming one of Asia’s most exciting orchestras\, the Taiwan Philharmonic. \nIn the first half of the programme Taiwan’s top young violinist\, Paul Huang\, will play the much-loved Bruch Violin Concerto with its famous romantic slow movement. In the second half the orchestra’s conductor Jun Märkl will open with two of the most popular movements from Holst’s The Planets – his pulsating music depicting Mars and his grandiose portrait of the planet Jupiter.
