This rare opportunity invites visitors to discover one of Norwich’s most enchanting private gardens while helping to support The Magdalene Group’s vital work with women and young people on violence against women and girls (VAWG) who are affected by abuse\, violence\, coercion and exploitation. \nWhat to Expect on the Day\nThis family‑friendly charity event offers a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon surrounded by nature. Visitors can indulge in refreshments and delicious cakes\, enjoy live music (performer to be announced)\, and take part in a variety of gentle activities. Children can explore a dedicated treasure trail and take part in traditional garden games\, all set within the beautiful and historic grounds of Bishop’s House Garden. Formerly a Victorian general store\, the space is now home to a wide range of visual\, written & performing artistic activities which are overseen by owners Sue Moore & Clio Burroughs with Gallery Consultant\, Lorraine Pajak. \nOur aim is to create as welcoming a space as we can\, which offers a wide range of artistic activities & experiences to compliment the already thriving artistic community in Hingham. \nA co-operative of six local artists (Alison Dickson\, Chrissy Bolton\, Bob Kidd\, Julie Langdon\, Patricia Osborn & Sam Rafter)\, the Cleymore Motley Art Crew\, meet together in the gallery space once a week to create\, discuss\, support\, inspire & learn from each other. Each artist has their own unique style\, focus & expertise. Their work will form the inaugural exhibition in the Gallery and will celebrates their coming together The Old Shop\, giving them a creative home & allowing us to showcase local talent as well as the best of Norfolk. DESCRIPTION:The Old Shop Pop Up Gallery is a creative space in the centre of the Historic Market Town of Hingham\, Norfolk. Formerly a Victorian general store\, the space is now home to a wide range of visual\, written & performing artistic activities which are overseen by owners Sue Moore & Clio Burroughs with Gallery Consultant\, Lorraine Pajak. \nOur aim is to create as welcoming a space as we can\, which offers a wide range of artistic activities & experiences to compliment the already thriving artistic community in Hingham. \nA co-operative of six local artists (Alison Dickson\, Chrissy Bolton\, Bob Kidd\, Julie Langdon\, Patricia Osborn & Sam Rafter)\, the Cleymore Motley Art Crew\, meet together in the gallery space once a week to create\, discuss\, support\, inspire & learn from each other. Each artist has their own unique style\, focus & expertise. Their work will form the inaugural exhibition in the Gallery and will celebrates their coming together The Old Shop\, giving them a creative home & allowing us to showcase local talent as well as the best of Norfolk. Please note there may be a short wait while we count attendees in and out to ensure everyone’s safety. \nTime: 9:30am – 12:00 noon \nLast admission: 11:30am \nThis year\, children will collect stamps and complete a puzzle sheet along the way. Each ticket entitles a child to take home an Easter goodie bag filled with treats. \nTickets are free (£0) and must be booked in advance to guarantee a goodie bag.
