Whether you’re a beginner\, curious about movement or a seasoned dancer\, this class is open to everyone. As a professional contemporary dance instructor I will guide you through easy-to-follow movements that get us all moving across the floor together (think folk dance) as we move towards more rhythmic and dynamic moves (think freeflow clubbing)\, ensuring you have a great time while learning new moves and connecting with yourself and others. There is also space to rest and observe from the sidelines\, if needed. \nDon’t miss out on this opportunity to dance with others in a safe and inclusive space\, enjoying the great vibes of dancing in the golden light of the change of season in the beautiful and ornate Orangery\, a grade II listed building\, at the new Carrow House in Norwich. The class is led by Carrow House member and American-British dance specialist and teacher Sara Wookey. DESCRIPTION:Glorious Forms Returns to Stage Two \nFollowing last year’s sell-out performance at Stage Two\, Glorious Forms returns with a joyful evening of original dance created by Norwich companies — followed by an optional audience workshop open to all. \nInclusive community dance companies Dance Moves You and In Cahoots invite you to join them for a sharing of their latest work\, celebrating dancing bodies in all their glorious forms. \nAfter the performance\, stay for tea and cake\, and take part in an informal workshop if you wish. No previous dance experience is needed. The workshop offers an insight into how the companies create their work\, a chance to learn some choreography\, and an opportunity to experience the joy of moving together. \nDance Moves You is an inclusive company for adult independent movers with learning disabilities. Their work reflects the lives\, interests and individuality of the dancers themselves. \nIn Cahoots celebrates the creative possibilities that emerge when dancers with and without disabilities perform together. \nGlorious Forms is a project that aspires to recognise\, platform and increase access to inclusive dance in Norwich and Norfolk. It is supported through a partnership with Norwich Theatre and funded by Arts Council England

DESCRIPTION:Dance theatre company Thick & Tight presents their award-winning show Natural Behaviour\, a collection of performed portraits of human and non-human life forms. \nSomewhere between a variety show and a biology essay come alive\, Natural Behaviour is a queer look at what it means to be natural or unnatural\, highlighting the essential role of diversity in all life. \nThick & Tight’s distinctive mixture of dance\, satire\, impersonation and poetry aims for the outrageous\, the beautiful\, the hilarious and the profound. \nThe line-up in this evening includes two moths\, some post-apocalyptic cockroaches\, a blade of grass\, the dust in Quentin Crisp’s room\, a lamenting songbird\, a human tyrant and a lesbian seagull. \nThick & Tight’s co-directors Daniel Hay-Gordon and El Perry are joined by a cast of remarkable dance artists; Annie Edwards (Candoco)\, Azara Meghie (Ray Young\, Talawa)\, Luigi Nardone (BalletBoyz\, Holly Blakey) and Jahmarley Bachelor (Punchdrunk). Natural Behaviour is designed by Tim Spooner\, Pam Tait\, Darren Evans and Nao Nagai.
