The saltmarsh is an increasingly rare ecosystem\, fragile in the face of rising sea levels due to the climate crisis. This exhibition is an attempt to inspire the love and awe that it deserves\, and to hold hope and encourage action to prevent its unnecessary destruction. \nDue to the events programme\, exhibitions in the Simon Aspinall Centre may not always be accessible. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a relaxed\, hands-on workshop all about Crassula helmsii (also known as Australian swamp stonecrop or New Zealand pygmy weed)s – an invasive aquatic plant that can cause real trouble in our ponds and wetlands. \nNWT Crassula Officer Julia Mumford-Smith and Wilder Landscapes Adviser Ethne Clark – will guide you through what this plant is\, how to spot it\, and why it can become such a problem. \nWe’ll also chat through practical ways to tackle it safely and effectively\, including things like biosecurity and when contractors might be needed. \nThe project is funded by the Anglian Water Invasive Non-Native Species Fund through the Cambridge Community Foundation.

DESCRIPTION:The Norwich Wet Plate Studio will be setting up a pop-up studio at The Old Piano Shop Gallery on St Benedict’s Street from 06 to 11 July 2026. The images are made on a thin metal plate using the 1851 process invented by Frederic Scott Archer. The images are created using light and pure silver. Every image is unique and of archival quality.\nFor this limited period a solo studio session may be booked for just £35.00\, less than half the usual price.

DESCRIPTION:Come join us at Carrow House for a fun\, easy and uplifting new community dance class that will inspire you to move and groove together. Whether you’re a beginner\, curious about movement or a seasoned dancer\, this class is open to everyone. As a professional contemporary dance instructor I will guide you through easy-to-follow movements that get us all moving across the floor together (think folk dance) as we move towards more rhythmic and dynamic moves (think freeflow clubbing)\, ensuring you have a great time while learning new moves and connecting with yourself and others. There is also space to rest and observe from the sidelines\, if needed. \nDon’t miss out on this opportunity to dance with others in a safe and inclusive space\, enjoying the great vibes of dancing in the golden light of the change of season in the beautiful and ornate Orangery\, a grade II listed building\, at the new Carrow House in Norwich. The class is led by Carrow House member and American-British dance specialist and teacher Sara Wookey.
