Pedlar Day

Join us at the Church of St Peter & St Paul on Saturday, 4th October from 10am–2pm for Pedlar Day, a free family event celebrating the legend of John Chapman, the Swaffham Pedlar. Enjoy live medieval music from Chanter’s Jigge, take part in workshops and children’s activities, and listen to the story of the Pedlar narrated by Stephen Fry. For the first time in over 30 years, the historic Black Book of Swaffham will be on display, offering a rare glimpse into the town’s past. With opportunities to meet the Pedlar and his wife, plus refreshments throughout the day, this is a wonderful chance to discover and celebrate Swaffham’s unique heritage.
